Wadie Habboush: Championing Renewable Energy and Decarbonization Initiatives

Wadie Habboush is an American investor and international leader in energy and infrastructure management. As the CEO of Habboush Group, he has over 15 years of experience strategically supporting and investing in smart technologies and renewable energy opportunities, with a focus on decarbonization drivers. ​

In September 2022, under Mr. Habboush’s leadership, Habboush Group entered into a strategic alliance with NuScale Power Corporation and the energy transition platform ENTRA1. This partnership aims to provide integrated capabilities for financing, investment, development, management, and execution of large-scale projects utilizing NuScale’s small modular reactor (SMR) technology—a critical component in advancing clean energy solutions globally. ​

Previously, Mr. Habboush served as an Investment & Operating Partner to I Squared Capital, an independent global infrastructure investment manager with over $36 billion in assets under management, focusing on utilities, digital infrastructure, energy, transport, and social infrastructure across various regions. Additionally, he has held leadership roles in joint ventures with Halliburton and Fluor Corporation, concentrating on alternative asset investments and the development of power, infrastructure, and industrial assets in the EMEA region. ​

Mr. Habboush is a licensed attorney, having practiced law with Kirkland & Ellis LLP in London, New York, and Washington, D.C., where he focused on corporate governance, restructurings, fund formations, financing, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity offerings. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from American University. ​

Through his leadership at Habboush Group, Wadie Habboush continues to champion renewable energy initiatives and decarbonization efforts, contributing to the global transition towards sustainable energy solutions.​
